Our Impact
Chapter Rubber Recycling will focus on generating Profits for sustainable livelihood through establishing pyrolysis plant in kajiado. We can longer set companies to focus on a single bottom line: profits. We MUST consider the triple bottom line: PEOPLE, PLANET, PROFIT which is the approach that Chapter Rubber Recycling is adopting.
Employment:
The company will focus on engaging unskilled youth groups, women on collection of used tires for a price. Aggregation centers will be set up especially in the Slum areas where most of the used tyres are dumped. This are the points where tyres will be received and payment done.
Hygiene:
Clean environment means healthier population. dumped tyres create a conducive environment for breeding of mosquitoes hence spread of Malaria. Recycling the tyres reduces the chance of spread of malaria and other hygiene related diseases
Environmental impact
Pyrolysis enables the use of waste tyres which are non bio degradable in a sustainable way producing products that are commercially viable while at the same time ensuring they are not dumped on land and water bodies.
